Chief Executive Barry Quirk's paper 'Lewisham Fast Forward 2005' has presented a framework to enhance our organisational capacity to deliver. This framework sets out two managerial imperatives: to build on the strong base of service improvements we have already made, much of which is the focus of this year's managers' conference and to review the overall organisation of service groupings.

Sue Goss, Principal, National and Local Services
Sue has wide experience of working with local and central government and voluntary sector organisations on the management of change. She specialises in local, regional and national government, particularly strategy development, management education and organisational development.
Sue's recent work has concentrated on issues of organisational redesign and development to achieve high performance. She has written widely on issues of best value, community engagement, political management and governance, partnership working, local government, and effective management performance. She has led a number of major research and evaluation studies of public policy. |
